Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) is considered the best objective test of a person’s functional capacity – testing cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic and ventilatory systems in unison. As a complete cardiopulmonary functional analysis system, the META CONTROL 3000 includes:
- Heart insufficiency assessment
- Pulmonary arterial hypertonia
- Clarification of an unclear dyspnoea / breathlessness
- Prevention examinations / check-ups
- Metabolic syndrome
- Training advice / lifestyle intervention
- Resting / stress ECG
- Measurement of the metabolic rate
- Spirometry.
The components include a bicycle ergometer called CORTEX bike M, a powerful computer with peripherals and the software METASOFT® STUDIO as well as CUSTO DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE. The System can be controlled from either the Cortex METASOFT STUDIO or the CUSTO DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE. The devices can be integrated into the portable system cart called CORTEX mobile PLUS.
METAMAX AND METALYZER Integration
The rolling cart CORTEX mobile PLUS offers sufficient room for all testing tools and computer equipment. When using the mobile spiroergometer METAMAX® 3B, CORTEX delivers an appropriate holder for the meta control 3000 device.

Integration with ECGs & Heart Rate Monitoring
Integration with most ECG systems and heart rate measuring devices is achieved using CUSTOMED 12 lead ECG. This optimally adjusted and compatible system supports convenient and easy-to-use cardiopulmonary diagnostics. Examples of ECG and heart rate monitoring systems include:

Reliable Respiratory Gas Analysis
For successful spiroergometry it is very important that the mask fits perfectly and is fixed tightly. To ensure optimum fitting, the breathing mask sets are available in various sizes and fits for adults and children. Disposable Flow Sensors are also available.
Measuring Blood Pressure Automatically
You have the option to automatically measure your blood pressure – by using a wide range of available Blood Pressure Monitors e.g. the SunTech Tango M2 monitor.
Use with PhysioFlow
META CONTROL 3000 integrates with PHYSIOFLOW for Non-Invasive Hydrodynamic Monitoring. PhysioFlow Enduro is a portable non-invasive device used to measure the heart volume (cardiac output) while under physical strain. Integration unique to Cortex-Medical.
