The Speax Communication System by Ataia Medical is an innovative, non-invasive solution that restores verbal communication for patients undergoing non-invasive ventilation (NIV), CPAP, BiPAP, or oxygen therapy. Despite being conscious and able to communicate, many patients on NIV are unable to speak audibly due to the properties of their mask and therapy.
Speax addresses this challenge with a simple, effective two-part system:
