Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine June 2017 – Validation of Sleep BioMarkers and AutoScoring using our PSG2 Home Sleep Testing System

PSG2 AutoScoring Accuracy, Night-to-Night Variability, and Stability of FrontoPolar Sleep Electroencephalography Biomarkers!

The Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine – June 2017.

Key Findings:

  • Automated sleep staging is equivalent to human scoring based on its agreement with a majority of scorers.
  • Sleep biomarkers found to have the least night-to-night variability have also been associated with neurodegeneration.
  • Given the instability that was reported, most sleep biomarkers would benefit from a two-night average.
  • Factors that contribute to lighter sleep in patients with insomnia are investigated.
  • A framework for applying sleep biomarkers under clinical and research conditions is provided.
